The Opportunity
MBS clients include nonprofits, startups and existing professional service businesses with revenues/annual budgets ranging from $60K to $5M.
Selected candidates will begin as casual employees with on-call assignments that arise due to illness, vacations or work overflow demands. As casual employees prove themselves and our workload increases it is expected they will transition to regular part time status.
Candidates who progress from casual to regular part time employment and demonstrate an interest as well as the ability to help us grow the practice may become a part of the long-term future of Multibusiness Solutions.
- A degree in accounting or certificate in bookkeeping with a minimum of two years of work experience is required.
- Non-profit work experience that includes core competencies in payroll and audit preparation.
- Acceptable candidates must have an intermediate working knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Applicants must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word with strong keyboarding skills.
- Candidate must also be Internet savvy to be considered for this position.
- The ability to present information professionally, to interact positively with clients and to communicate effectively is essential.
- Applicants will be subject to a background check prior to hire.
